The 501/RCG range - more than a cable gland
The 501/RCG range combines the features of our market-leading Cable Gland range with the plug and play benefits of a connector. By combining Gland and Connector technology, the RCG offers a rapid connect solution that is “much more than a Cable Gland.”
Like a gland, the RCG offers easy installation and can be installed on fixed long term installations. It is suitable for use with Exe, Zone 1 certified equipment, and is rated to IP66/67.
Unlike a gland, the RCG can be pre-wired and used with sealed for life equipment or during modular fabrication. It can be disconnected quickly for replacement and maintenance operations.
The 501/RCG Coupler allows for extension of existing cables without the need for a junction box or permanent splice kit.
It combines two 501/RCG bodies and a simple termination system for easy installation. This allows for quick correction when cable lengths have been incorrectly measured.
The 501/RCG provides a low cost alternative to a cable joint or junction box with cable glands and can be easily managed in a cable tray.
By utilising plug and play technology RCG makes changes to future installations, upgrades or swap outs as swift as possible.
