Directive (EU) 2015/863 (RoHS III)

On June 4, 2015, the Commission Delegated Directive (EU) 2015/863 amending Annex II to Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS II) on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment was published in the Official Journal of the European Union.

This requires Member States to bring the new regulation into force by 06/22/2019 and to only use the four substances listed below at the highest permissible concentration of max. 0.1% by weight in homogeneous materials.

Bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) (0.1%)
Butyl benzyl phthalate (BBP) (0.1%)
Dibutyl phthalate (DBP) (0.1%)
Diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP) (0.1%)

Directive 2015/863 forms part of Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS II).

We would additionally like to point out that Jacob GmbH products are in conformity with both REACH and SVHC regulations.
The four substances were already included in the Directive for the period between 10/28/2008 and 12/17/2014.
