"Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986" - also known as california prop 65
The US state of California passed a regulation in 1986 with the following key points:
- Protection of drinking water and land area used for the production of drinking water
- Protecting citizens from exposures to chemicals that may cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm
- Establishment of a strict information obligation
- Shifting of costs for the elimination of environmental damage to the polluters and distributors

Declaration of conformity for Jacob products
Some of our products contain small amounts of lead as an alloy in brass components. Therefore, Jacob GmbH issued a report for shipments of our products to California.
In order to meet the requirements, we have successfully carried out recognized tests (NIOSH wipe test) on suitable representatives selected from our product range.
Based on the tests, we have created a declaration of conformity, which also includes the test reports.
