Perfect plus Ex-cable gland

PERFECT plus Ex cable glands made of nickel-plated brass offer a wide range of possible uses in areas that can be endangered by an explosive atmosphere. They have been tested for equipment group II, equipment categories 2 and 3 and for zones with potentially explosive gas atmospheres G and potentially explosive dust atmospheres D.

In Ex applications, it is particularly important that the components used withstand the risks of mechanical stress. PERFECT plus Ex sizes M16 to M63 passed the impact strength test with the high impact energy of 7 joules at temperatures of -45 °C and +95 °C. They offer a high level of safety.

The new design of the lamellar insert allows that the individual lamellae slide very easily over one another and press the cable - in combination with the sealing ring - in a circular manner. This prevents damage of the cable and ensures a high protection grade.

Another feature of the PERFECT plus Ex cable glands is the position-independent anti-twist protection for the lamellar insert. When tightening the dome nut during the assembly process, the insert is pressed into a conical radial groove. As a result, the lamellar insert remains in a fixed position and, together with the sealing ring, prevents the so-called “corkscrew effect” on the cable.
