90 years of Jacob - a proud history

Jacob GmbH is a success story. In 2012, we are able to look back on nine decades of existence.

The foundation was laid by Wilhelm Jacob, who in 1922 began manufacturing brass turning parts for the electrical industry in western Stuttgart.

Steady growth and the extension of the product range brought the company to Fellbach, then Waiblingen, and finally to Kernen-Rommelshausen. Here in Kernen, we also have the space to accommodate future expansion.

Using the latest machinery, our 200 employees nowadays develop, manufacture and distribute cable glands made of brass, stainless steel and plastic. We specialise in cable gland systems and level measurement technology. In addition, we offer standard product lines and customized solutions.

We now supply to 70 countries. Nevertheless, production is still predominantly based in Germany. At our new site in China, we manufacture exclusively for the local market.

As a family company, in which the descendants of the company founder are still active, sustainability is for us a key issue. The fundamental features of our company culture are promoting openness and fairness, and encouraging and expecting commitment. We cultivate and cherish communicaition with colleagues, customers, prospective customers, suppliers and partners. After all, our slogan is "We have more in common".
